October 22, 2022: Celebrating small wins 🏀

He passed the ball to another player who shot it right into the basket and there it was, the moment a small victory became the first of many firsts.

Toastmaster Ketan kicked off the meeting with an uplifting story and a much needed reminder to all that we have many reasons to celebrate our small wins every day.

Adi was our Timer and Traci, our Grammarian.

The Word of the Day was ” Vista“.

Our two speakers today should celebrate their professional wins:

Cris tested her presentation for an upcoming job interview. I was impressed by her passion, her vision for inclusivity and her walking the walk. All that preparation is a BIG win! Thanks for demonstrating that the usefulness of a club like Toastmasters is not just to eat toast!

Daniel ,who was just hired for his dream job, shared insights about what the job interview dance is, what it takes to keep liking the song you have to dance to over and over again. Like you did the first time you heard it. Daniel never fails to delight us with his humor, self introspection and originality. His call to action: find your optimism in the small things such as fresh ground coffee to keep you going.

Table topics master Isabella asked the audience to share a few small wins at work, in school, in life.

Seattle Sunrisers: celebrate your small wins, take in the vistas in front of you fully; whether that be watching the sun rise in the morning, sipping chai with smiley faces around you, walking uphill faster every day or just enjoying the clean dishes that your teenager did without your bidding.

Celebrate because YOU are a constant celebration. See you on October 29th!
