We met at NW Hospital for the first time and were joined by four guests. Bhargav, Tammy, Andrew and Sonja came to see what the program could do for them.

- Our emcee (“Toastmaster”) was Scott C., who set sail with remarks on procrastination, and then introduced our speakers and evaluators.
- Beth G. related her story of the stock options v. real estate conundrum as she experienced it (when to hold the options and when to fix the roof!) in “Buy Low, Sell High.” She used Project No. 4 from the Competent Communication manual, Working with Words, as her framework.
- Dave E., an advanced speaker, spoke from Project No. 5 of The Entertaining Speaker advanced manual, Speaking After Dinner, with “The Day is Over, Our Future Awaits.”
- Nicole C. led the spontaneous speaking session on the theme of Procrastination. Guest Tammy took the honors for Best Table Topic.
- Feedback: Lisa L. and Amara D. gave positive comments and suggestions to Beth and Dave respectively, Chris counted Ahs and Ums and Ray evaluated the meeting as a whole. Amara was honored as the Best Evaluator.
