Scott launched the meeting today and introduced our guest Daniel. He then passed the meeting onto our toastmaster Steve.

Steve briefed the roles and responsibilities of our timer and grammarian, and then introduced our first speaker Dick. Dick shared a very sad story of losing a significant family member earlier in his life and the reactions he received by people around him. He encourages the audience to be authentic and friendly when others need support, instead of avoiding them.

Our second speaker, Mary, spoke about her experience as a Waldorf kindergarten teacher. She talked about the first adolescent of 6-year olds, and how they change drastically physically and mentally.

Taylor, as our third speaker, presented about the five-second rule. She talked about acting on our instincts immediately when we have an idea before the moment goes away and we loose the concept.

Our last speaker today, Nicole, delivered her “Speaking to Inform” Project #1. She informed us about the lisfranc injury, and shared about how she got the injury.

As table topics master, Katey asked four attendees, Mary, Porscha, Nicole and Daniel to participate. Nicole was voted best table topics speaker.
